Welcome to Evolution of Stuff, an educational platform founded by artist and educator, Perveen Kaur.
We explore the difficulties of modernity through human nature, history and systems, to help us understand ourselves and the world around us.
This is done through four areas of study and a variety of materials including video lessons, visual interpretations and written explorations.
Areas of Study
This area of study explores individual human traits, from creativity and curiosity to fear, addiction, ego and cruelty, and these patterns repeat across cultures and time.
This area of study examines how individual human traits scale up and amplify into civilisations, agriculture, empires, religions, politics, global markets, economics and social structures.
This area of study explores how creative outputs shape belief and understanding including art, design movements, music, innovations and tools.
This area of study is a long-view exploration of deep time, universal history, earth history and evolution of life, placing fast-paced modern life within a slower and wider perspective.
